EPSILON - 160
Takahashi have done a limited special production run of this awesome astrograph, which at 160mm aperture and with a focal length of only 530mm, makes this instrument an amazing fast (f/3.3) wide-field instrument. The E-160 is a perfect partner to medium to large chip CCD cameras or deep sky video cameras such as the Stellacam II.
We are able to offer the E-160 optical tube assembly, plus tube rings, plus the high quality Takahashi 7 x 50 finder (not shown in above image) for a great price of £ 2325 only including VAT and UK mainland delivery. We only have a few of these so this offer will not last long !!!
Another view of the E-160, showing it mounted on a NJP mount in Nick's observatory. Of course the NJP is able to handle loads of 30Kg (66 lbs), and the E-160 only weighs in at a modest 6.5Kg (14.3lbs), so can easily be mounted on EM-11 (9Kg capacity) or EM-200 (20Kg) capacity.
View showing the E-160 focuser. The whole assembly rotates and is locked at any desired angle by the silver knob at top left. The housing encloses an optical field corrector which is also a focal reducer. A 1.25" adapter is included for visual work and this is fine for use with a deep sky video camera. For wide-field photo/CCD work the method of attachment is via a Wide T-Ring (see Tak price list for range of cameras supported). We can advise you on connection of your camera. Note that a SupaSlim filter wheel plus astronomical cooled CCD camera can easily be accommodated.
