The Stellacam 3 is  a further progression of  the already highly proven Stellacam 3 camera,  which was able to integrate up to 250 framesWith the Stellacam 3, now do we not only have the cabability for UNLIMITED exposures, but  a special peltier cooled version (also incorporating a cooling fan per the above image) has been developed by Adirondack Video Astronomy.  For a full description of  the Thermal Management System click here

The above images of M1, M27 and NGC891 were taken using exposures through Red, Green and Blue filters.  These images were NOT taken using the cooled Stellacm 3, but a non-cooled Stellacam 2.  With the capability to go even fainter, it is now possible to record items of  faint magnitudes, previously only obtainable with conventional astronomical cooled still imaging cameras.
