The holiday flat is located at Playa de la Arena, near the spectacular cliffs of Los Gigantes, which is located half-way up the West coast. You can find detailed maps of Tenerife on many websites, using any web search engine.
The holiday flat comprises a bedroom with double bed and a living room with a double sofa-bed, plus a nice kitchen, and a balcony with great views. Thus two adults or a small family of up to four can be accommodated in comfort.
For Astronomy there is a superb flat roof with great all-sky viewing, especially 'down to the horizon' in the South and West aspects.

The spectacular Mount Teide volcanic crater. It is about one hour's drive to the Mt Teide.
Directions on how to get to Playa de la Arena
From the Southern Airport (Reina Sofia), take the motorway TF1 west towards Playa de Las Americas, and at the end of the motorway you come to a mini-roundabout (by McDonalds). Take a left towards Playa San Juan and Los Gigantes. Keep driving until you pass through Alcala, which is the last town before your destination, and approximately 1 mile after Alcala take a left turn towards Playa de la Arena (very easy to miss, there is a modern complex of flats on the left, after a stretch of open land). You will need to take the second turning on the right which is after you pass a supermarket (also on the right hand side). As you go down a hill look out for the block of flats (see picture above) and the Pilgrim pub (again there is a restaurant on the corner infront of the Pilgrim Pub so be careful not to miss it !). The Apartment block just past the Pilgrim Pub on the right hand side.
